XXIII Escola Brasileira de Probabilidade

Short history...

The first edition of EBP was held in Rio de Janeiro, back in 1997 (see the photo of the event at the end of this page). Since then, it has been organized annually, by IMPA, ICMC-USP, IME-USP, IM-UFRJ, IMECC-UNICAMP, UFMG, UFPE and PUC-RIO, receiving support of several scientific societies and research agencies.

It is now a traditional international event on probability theory and stochastic processes, and has considerably contributed to the strengthenning of these research areas in Brazil and South America.

The reader will find below the list of the 22 previous editions. Various of these editions gave birth to special volumes that we list first.
